A four-day getaway for couples to the picturesque heart of Tuscany, where you’ll enjoy unforgettable experiences tied to the beauty of the Italian countryside and culinary artistry.
You’ll take part in truffle hunting, taste Chianti wines straight from a family-run winery, learn to cook traditional Tuscan specialties under the guidance of local experts, and enjoy a fun ride in vintage Fiat 500 cars.
Truffle Hunting and Foraging
On a private estate near San Gimignano, an adventure awaits you accompanied by experienced dogs and their handlers, who are experts at discovering these culinary treasures. Enjoy the atmosphere of the autumn Tuscan forest and learn from local experts the traditions and secrets associated with truffle hunting.
Driving Fun
A half-day trip aboard four classic Fiat 500s will be a fun highlight and an opportunity to enjoy the charming Tuscan countryside and picturesque corners.
Authentic Accommodation in a Private Villa
The Borgo Pignano resort is located in the picturesque Tuscan countryside near the historic town of San Gimignano. This luxurious complex offers accommodation in elegant rooms and suites that blend traditional Tuscan style with modern comfort.
One of the highlights of the resort is Villa La Fonte. This villa features five bedrooms (each with its own bathroom), a spacious living room, kitchen, terrace, and a garden with a private pool. It offers guests a unique experience thanks to its privacy and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Borgo Pignano is also known for its organic farms and gardens, which supply the restaurant with fresh ingredients.
This villa will be your home for four days.
Learn to Cook Tuscan Specialities
A team of experienced chefs will teach you right in your villa’s kitchen how to prepare typical Italian dishes. You’ll start by making “antipasto,” such as fresh homemade hand-rolled pasta (tagliatelle, tagliolini, pappardelle) or gnocchi served with a sauce made from fresh vegetables and herbs.
Next comes the lesson on preparing the main course — chicken with Vin Santo or homemade saffron, fresh eggplant, peppers, or zucchini. The finale will be a traditional Tuscan dessert.
At the end of the cooking class, you’ll enjoy the dishes together paired with Chianti Colli Senesi wine.
Take a Hot Air Balloon Flight
The experience begins very early in the morning when weather conditions are most favorable, allowing you to enjoy the view of the sunrise. You will fly over the Chianti region and take in the picturesque landscape from a bird’s-eye perspective. After landing, you’ll savor prosecco and a breakfast made from local ingredients at one of the vineyards.
We understand that this experience isn’t for everyone, so it is not included in the package but can be added upon request.
Day-by-Day Programme
- Day 1 | Arrival, rest – Afternoon transfer from Florence Airport to Villa Borgo Pignano, check-in, free time (wellness), and a group dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at the five-star Borgo Pignano resort.
- Day 2 | Hot air balloon flight, truffle hunting, and visit to San Gimignano – Optional early morning hot air balloon flight, tour of a unique estate and family winery, truffle hunting, private lunch at the estate, visit to the town of San Gimignano, transfer to Siena, guided tour of the city with a Czech-speaking guide, dinner at a selected restaurant by the main square. Overnight stay at the five-star Borgo Pignano resort.
- Day 3 | Ride in classic Fiat 500s, cooking class – Relaxing morning at the hotel (massages), group lunch at the hotel restaurant, and at 1:00 PM, transfer to the garage where classic Fiat 500 cars will be ready. Instructional and practice drive, followed by a 3-hour tour with two stops. Return to the garage at 5:30 PM and transfer back to the villa for a Tuscan cooking class paired with wine tasting. Overnight stay at the five-star Borgo Pignano resort.
- Day 4 | Departure – Transfer to the airport, or alternatively, extend your stay or enjoy a tour of Florence.
