GOLF ON THE WESTERN AND SOUTHERN SHORES OF LAKE GARDA

These include the 18-hole Bogliaco course, which was built in a picturesque hollow about 100 meters above Lake Garda. The third oldest golf course in Italy, it was created by the Beretta family as a short but very challenging 9-hole course to entertain tourists in the Lake Garda region.
Mussolini turned the course into an airstrip, after which American soldiers used it as a baseball field. In the 1950s, it became a golf course again, now with 18 beautiful holes. The views here extend far beyond the lake, with the tee shot at the 5th hole being particularly famous. Considered the signature hole of the course, it is a beautiful par 3 with a magnificent view of Lake Garda and the eastern shore. The well-maintained fairways are not too long, but must be played with great precision. For guests of the Eden resort, the special course in the neighboring village of Toscolano Maderno offers an additional option, just a few kilometers away.
