Capri Helicopter Gateway
Private helicopter transfers to Capri from Naples, the Amalfi Coast and the wider Bay of Naples.
Private helicopter transfers to Capri from Naples, the Amalfi Coast and the wider Bay of Naples.
Capri rewards a precise arrival. Set in the Gulf of Naples, close to the Sorrentine Peninsula, the island remains one of Italy’s most recognisable Mediterranean addresses, shaped by dramatic cliffs, turquoise waters, refined hotels, designer boutiques, private yachts and a long history of international fascination.
Our Capri Helicopter Gateway service is designed for travellers who want to reach the island with privacy, speed and visual intensity. Rather than allowing the transfer to become a pause in the journey, helicopter access turns the arrival into part of the experience itself: the Bay of Naples below, the Sorrentine coastline in view, Capri appearing ahead as a compact world of limestone, sea and light.
Helicopter Access
The most convenient aviation gateway for Capri is Naples International Airport, also known as Capodichino Airport, located approximately five kilometres from the city centre. From Naples, private helicopter transfers can be arranged directly to Capri, offering a fast and scenic alternative to traditional ferry travel.
Helicopter transfers may also be arranged from selected destinations along the Amalfi Coast and surrounding region, including Amalfi, Sorrento, Ischia and Positano, subject to aircraft availability, weather, permissions and operational feasibility.
Fleet
Helicopter selection is based on the route, passenger number, luggage, landing permissions and timing.
Typical helicopter configurations may accommodate 5, 6 or 8 passengers, while larger twin-engine aircraft such as the Leonardo AW139 can carry up to 15 passengers, depending on configuration and availability.
For Capri and the Bay of Naples, aircraft are chosen for short-sector efficiency, passenger comfort, safety standards and suitability for coastal operations. As helicopter luggage capacity is more limited than on fixed-wing aircraft, each request includes luggage planning in advance. Where required, excess luggage can be coordinated separately by ground or sea transfer.

Exclusive Elite Travel Perspective
For Exclusive Elite Travel clients, helicopter access to Capri is most useful when timing and atmosphere matter equally. It can shorten the arrival, avoid seasonal congestion, connect the island with the Amalfi Coast, and create a smoother transition between aircraft, coastline, villa, yacht or hotel.
The journey is shaped around the guest profile, route, luggage, season and final address on the island. The result is a more coherent Capri experience, with the transfer designed as part of the itinerary rather than a logistical interruption.
A Capri helicopter request begins with the arrival point, passenger number, luggage profile and final destination. From there, the route, aircraft and onward arrangements can be aligned with discretion.
