In the shadow of the needles of time, Puy du Fou has envisioned for you a 4,000-kilometer spectacle aboard a legendary train. Le Grand Tour of Puy du Fou stands as a true ode to beauty and refinement.
A genuine masterpiece on rails thanks to its elegant silhouette evoking a bygone era. Its cars adorned with delicate gilding are like open doors to a time when beauty and elegance were paramount.
Like a memory bearer, our vintage train guides you around France to encounter the past and forgotten periods, illuminating the windows of history.
Small attentions reveal themselves at every moment: the delightful scent of tea mingling with the effluvia of history, the delicate dishes that awaken the taste buds, the whispered voices of passionate guides revealing the secrets of the treasures encountered.
Through the windows, the landscape slowly unfolds like a living painting. Comfortably settled in your cabin, let yourself be enthralled by the changing panoramas, the hues of vineyards, the waves of golden wheat, and the sparkling rivers. THE SHOW
LE GRAND TOUR, DISCOVERING THE WONDERS OF FRANCE
More than a journey, Le Grand Tour is a 6-day, 5-night show, a real immersion in the French wonders, imagined and staged by Puy du Fou.
DAY 1
MORNING: In the early morning, we leave the city of Paris. The train sets off for Reims, the promise of an enchanting escapade. The scenery flies by, anticipating the discovery of the city of kings and its sublime cathedral.
AFTERNOON: After lunch, the journey continues to Beaune, the jewel of Burgundy. The region offers some of its most beautiful scenery and polychrome roofs. We assist to a private tour to discover the unusual and secret sites of the famous Hospices.
On certain dates, only one of these two cities welcomes you: Reims with its sparkling bubbles or Beaune with its historic Hospices. Each destination promises a unique immersion in exceptional heritage and unforgettable tastings.
DAY 2
MORNING: The night guides us towards Provence, and we arrive in Avignon. The palace of the popes reveals its best-kept mysteries right up to the rooftops.
EVENING: We leave Avignon behind and return to the train. Picturesque landscapes follow one another until sunset, adorning the majestic city of Carcassonne in a unique dress. In the cobbled streets, the footsteps of knights preparing for battle still echo.
DAY 3
The iodized Atlantic air beckons and the Bay of Arcachon reveals its splendors. Fresh from the Dubourdieu workshops, we climb aboard a pinnace for a timeless moment on the basin.
On certain dates, a whole new adventure awaits us: heading to Bordeaux and Cahors and their exceptional vineyards. Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the rolling landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see. Immerse yourself in the centuries-old history of these terroirs while savoring exceptional wines in prestigious châteaux and their ancestral cellars.
DAY 4
MORNING: The vibrations of the train awaken us. Jewel of the Atlantic, La Rochelle proudly stands on the shores of the ocean. In the distance, the medieval towers rise with elegance, bearing witness to its rich maritime past. The paved streets come alive with a friendly atmosphere, where the aromas of seafood mingle with the sea breeze.
EVENING: The end of the day illuminates the Cher with golden reflections. On the horizon rises a limestone miracle adorned in the warm hues of sunset: Chenonceau, The Ladies’ Chateau. A moving private tour awaits us.
DAY 5
Le Grand Tour ends with a spectacular journey back in time at Puy du Fou. Over the course of a day, history blends with legend to come alive again until nightfall, when the grand spectacle of the night shimmers under the stars.
On certain dates, at dawn, Saint-Malo slowly awakens with the scent of traditional Breton galettes stirring our senses. Then, we continue our journey to Mont-Saint-Michel, where the abbey unveils itself under the golden hues of twilight, while the sea, a timeless companion, cradles the island in a peaceful glow.
DAY 6
MORNING: As we enjoy a brunch on board, the scenery gently unfolds. In the blond light, the breeze sculpts the wave across the wheat fields. Our memories will carry a scent of eternity for a long time to come.

LIFE ON BOARD
OUR TRAIN, A MASTERPIECE OF BELLE ÉPOQUE DESIGN
At the dawn of the 20th century, still full of promise, the train experiences its golden age. The enormous metallic colossus, with its titanic power, is finally tamed. Elegant new and tasteful styles came on board its glossy and plush interior.
The train brings with it the carefree spirit of the Belle Époque which opens up new horizons, cultivating a spirit of adventure.
The train then becomes a genuine work of art, where the cosy atmosphere of the enchanting cabins met the warmth of the bar car and the bright colours of the dining cars.
THE RESTAURANT « ALEXANDRE DUMAS »
The restaurant car is an ode to French gastronomy, celebrating the flavours and pleasures of the table. In this refined setting, enjoy exceptional dishes created by our three-star French chef sublimating the products of the regions and places through which we travel.
THE BAR « LES IMPRESSIONNISTES »
The bar car offers an atmosphere of gentleness and character. This place of exchange and intimacy is a veritable showcase for savouring the pleasure of a novel from our library or tasting a nectar from the best French Houses.
