Six Senses Laamu: A Private Paradise in the Maldives
The only resort in the Laamu Atoll — Six Senses Laamu combines Maldivian marine biodiversity with couple-focused wellness rituals, Water Villas with Pool, glass-bottomed Deck-a-Dence dining, and a three-day Sustainability Camp.
Six Senses Laamu is the only resort in the Laamu Atoll — an untouched corner of the Maldives set within one of the country’s most biodiverse marine environments. A rare place where sustainability, sea and stillness meet, and where the value of privacy is measured by the space around each villa rather than the ornament within.
A Private Paradise
Furthest away from the main island, the Six Senses Laamu Water Villa with Pool is a couple’s ultimate private refuge. From the treetop deck offering panoramic scenery, to the aquarium dining deck with an all-glass table, the villa offers views both above and below the water. A glass sunken bathtub and outdoor shower gift guests constant access to nature with seascape scenes beneath their feet and beyond the horizon.
- Villa Features: 1 Bedroom, 1,360 sq. ft. / 126 sq. m.
Love Nest: A Wellness Journey
Exclusively for couples, the spa treatment nests are surrounded by the island’s natural vegetation, ensuring absolute privacy. Guests may seize the opportunity to reignite togetherness in a mindful and playful way with ‘Ubuntu: The Couple’s Journey.’ This features a series of treatments including steam, meditation, healing with crystals, massage and aromatherapy bath. ‘Ubuntu’ or the spirit of togetherness in Zulu represents the idea that ‘I am because we are’ — an African concept that we exist because others exist.
Sail Away With Me
A traditional Private Dhoni Cruise invites couples to sail into the sunset, eyes to the horizon and prosecco in hand. Guests will feast on delicious canapés as evening steals twilight and stars lead the way back to shore. For those who prefer dawn, rise with the sun and sail out to greet the day together, accompanied by Champagne and fresh pastries. For an all-day getaway, guests can jump on a 40-minute speedboat ride to a private island with a prepared picnic basket, bottle of wine and snorkelling gear.
Deck-a-dent Dining
Guests may dine at the resort’s most exclusive restaurant, Deck-a-Dence, with only 6 glass-bottomed tables available set right above the waves. A special wellness cuisine has been curated by the chef using locally inspired ingredients. The Altitude Wine Cellar welcomes wine-lovers to its 420 old-world and new-world vintages collection. The 6.4-metre tall wine tower rises from the ocean, served with imported European charcuterie and cheese as the perfect accompaniments.
For the Love of Nature
Six Senses Laamu recently launched a new ‘Sustainability Camp’. Covering the topics of “Zero Waste”, “Home Grown”, and “Nature Conservation”, it aims to give guests insight into the sustainability initiatives and techniques used for the resort’s operations, as well as providing skillsets for the future.
The camp takes place over three days, with two 90-minute sessions per day. Four sessions are available for each topic, allowing guests to choose two for each day’s activities. Each session is led by a team member specializing in the topic sharing their knowledge and experience in the area through workshops and interactive activities.
